Presenter Max Rushden has been left in awe over the latest footage Tottenham Hotspur have posted on Twitter of Harry Kane’s match-winning display last weekend.

Tottenham put an end to their shocking run of form of three league defeats in a row by going to the home of the champions and beating them 3-2, despite conceding a 92nd-minute equaliser.

Will Spurs back Conte in the summer?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

However, there was one key player that stood out to a lot of people and that was Harry Kane, who scored twice and played a perfect pass through for their first goal – with Jamie Carragher claiming it was one of the best performances he’s seen this season.

Rushden was clearly very impressed by the short video of Kane, claiming: ‘Worth watching it back. A stunning performance.’

TIF Thoughts on the Kane footage…

In a season that has seen Kane struggle for form and consistency, he showcased to the world on Saturday evening what he is still very much capable of, and for it to come against a side that were chasing his signature for all of last summer, that will make it even  sweeter for him and the Spurs fans.

It wasn’t just Kane’s presence in the box and during attacking moves that was impressive, but also his ability to drop deep and get plays moving quickly when necessary. He posted the fifth-highest progressive passing distance out of any Spurs player on the night, and was only bettered by Hugo Lloris and three of the Tottenham back four, who will have to move the ball forwards most of the time (as per FBRef).

Therefore, it’s no surprise that Rushden has claimed the striker’s performance is worth watching again given the opposition it was against, the form Kane’s been in and that it really was a complete performance for any player – not just a world-class striker.
