New Newcastle United signing Bruno Guimarães has taken to Instagram to show himself off in his new surroundings at St. James’ Park.

The Brazilian was certainly involved in some pretty big storylines during the January transfer window.

Not only were there multiple clubs interested in him – with the likes of Arsenal, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all reportedly wanting to sign the midfielder – but when Newcastle joined the race, things got even more complicated, especially when former club Lyon were forced to make a statement regarding his future.

The deal eventually went through, but given the timing of things regarding the transfer, as well as him being on international duty with Brazil, he hasn’t been able to get to Newcastle since the deal was announced.

Now that his national duty is over, he’s finally got into the swing of things in the north-east, and recently took to Instagram to share some pictures of himself in his first training session from the club’s gallery, which just so happened to take place at St. James’ Park, rather than the club’s Darsley Park facility:

Perhaps Eddie Howe did this so that he could get used to the feel of the St. James’ Park turf before his first game, which is coming up pretty fast as they are set to take on Everton on Tuesday night.

Let’s just hope that his little taste of the pitch at St. James’ will help him hit the ground running, because with the game arguably a relegation six-pointer, Newcastle will need him at his best in order to pick up what could be three crucial points.
