George Caulkin has been speaking on Pod on the Tyne about what PIF think about Newcastle United under Eddie Howe.
The current Newcastle manager has seemingly started to turn around the ship which appeared to be heading towards the Championship, with Howe masterminding three consecutive wins that have lifted the Magpies out of the bottom three.

It was abundantly clear that Howe was not PIF’s number-one choice when it came to replacing Steve Bruce last year as they initially approached Unai Emery, however, the former Bournemouth man appears to be doing a very solid job on Tyneside – something which is exciting the owners when they think about the future.
Caulkin reveals that PIF and people inside Newcastle think of Eddie Howe.
“[They are] very, very happy. We spoke to people right at the top of the club, and the sense is that they see him as someone that they could build a long-term vision of the club around.”

Before coming to Newcastle, Howe’s only other previous stints as a first-team manager were with Burnley – where he didn’t last very long – and a very admirable job at Bournemouth, where he got them to the Premier League before ultimately took them back down after five top-flight seasons.
Therefore, it will have been understandable for a lot of people to be sceptical when he was appointed as the first manager under PIF, but now after putting his stamp on the team in January, he appears to be proving why he was the right man charged with keeping the club in the league and how he is forward-thinking enough to get the club where they want to be in the coming years.
