Leeds United made it three from three, but not in a good way. They lost their third game of the week after another sorry performance.

They lost 4-0 to Spurs after being blown away just 27 minutes into the fixture. Spurs found themselves three goals to the good inside half an hour thanks to goals from Matt Doherty, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane.

Heung-Min Son completed the scoring in the second half, adding the fourth before the final whistle to put Leeds to the sword in an emphatic 4-0 win.

Has Firpo flopped at Leeds?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The result will be a huge cause for concern for all those involved as Leeds have shipped 14 goals in the last three games, only getting two themselves.

Paul Robinson echoed his concerns on BBC Sport, highlighting the poor performance from Junior Firpo: “It is the same old story for Leeds; they’re finding themselves 2-0 down after 20 minutes and nothing is changing. They are the masters of their own downfall; Kulusevski picked the ball up in the corner, he was one on one with Junior Firpo. All the defender had to do was put in a simple tackle. It is terrible, schoolboy defending. Inexcusable.”

The match stats don’t read well for the Spanish full back either. He was dribbled past three times in the game and with a 6.1 rating, he was the worst player on the pitch as per SofaScore.

First up in this 2020/21 LUFC quiz, which of these players did NOT score against Liverpool in the 4-3 defeat at Anfield?

Firpo only won 30% of his ground duels which is simply unacceptable for any defender, let alone one in the Premier League. He attempted ten and only won three.

After a string of defeats, Leeds find themselves very much embroiled in a relegation battle, with current form suggesting they are real contenders to return to the Championship.
