Marcelo Bielsa appears to be on the brink of an exit from Elland Road after a string of poor performances in the league has led the side closer into the relegation zone.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein has said there is an “uncertainty”, over the future of the Argentine and Jesse Marsch is the man leading the line to replace him – Bielsa’s side currently sit two points off the drop zone, but Burnley who sit in 18th have three games in hand over the Whites.

Phill McNulty has taken to Twitter, and Tweeted, “Tough dilemma for Leeds United with Marcelo Bielsa. Something has to change and what we know is that Bielsa’s approach will not.”

TIF Thoughts on the Marcelo Bielsa situation…

Leeds United sit bottom of the Premier League form guide table, after they haven’t won in their last six fixtures, and conceded 10 goals in their last two games.

Bielsa has improved Leeds since he joined four years ago, but it is evident that his side has seen a massive decrease in form this season. But this is largely down to the injury list that Leeds have, to key players such as Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips, and Patrick Bamford.

It is hard to see how another manager can come in and change things at Elland Road with this current crop of players, especially after a very quiet January transfer window saw them fail to sign anyone.
