Leeds United made it a third defeat in a week, with Tottenham Hotspur securing a comprehensive 4-0 victory at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds fans knew what sort of day they were going to be in for less than half an hour in, with Spurs already 3-0 up thanks to goals from Matt Doherty, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane. The scoring was then completed late in the second period through Heung-Min Son.

The result meant the player ratings were always going to be harsh, with Dan James slammed by LeedsLive’s Beren Cross, giving him 4/10: “A virtual spectator in attack and smothered down the wing in the second half.”
You can see why he has criticised the forward as being a ‘spectator’ in the game – he had just 30 touches of the ball, that’s almost half of his opposite number Harry Kane who had 52.

In just 30 touches, James managed to lose the ball eight times and only attempted one shot in the entire 90 minutes, a shot that wasn’t even on target…
All in all it was a miserable day for Leeds, with players all over the pitch suffering, not just the leaky defence.
