According to reports from Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, the West Yorkshire side are again showing interest in the 26-year-old midfielder from Cagliari, with his valuation reduced to £16.6m.

The Whites were linked with the Uruguayan over the summer transfer window, however, he ultimately remained in Serie A, where he has remained a regular in the Cagliari XI.
