A whole host of Celtic fans were ecstatic on Twitter to see the latest claim involving Jota.
Celtic managed to sign Jota on loan from Benfica over the summer, with the winger clearly not in the first-team plans in Lisbon having been loaned out last campaign as well – but that has proved to benefit Celtic.

When Jota was signed by Celtic, he arrived with a €7.5m (£6.3m) clause in his contract which could be activated, and according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, that is what the Bhoys are looking to do and are now in ‘advanced talks’ to keep the winger permanently.

Considering how well he’s already contributed to Celtic’s season, being able to sign him for just £6.3m halfway through his loan spell would certainly be a superb piece of business and prove once more that the board are fully backing Ange Postecoglou, who saw three new arrivals earlier this week.
