Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has shown himself to be hard at work ahead of his club’s return to football later in January.

Over the past few weeks, Scottish Premier League football has had a break. Indeed, the winter pause was brought forward by two rounds of fixtures, meaning that Morelos and co last played on Boxing Day.

Soon, however, things should get going again. Rangers will return to action with a trip to Aberdeen next week and their fans will no doubt be hoping the players have kept themselves in good condition over the course of January so far – especially as they will play four games in the space of 11 days.

Seemingly trying to prove his commitment to the club and willingness to stay in peak physical condition, the club’s Colombian striker shared a video of himself on Instagram, via a story, hard at work in the gym doing some core exercises.

To see their star man grinding hard will no doubt leave Rangers supporters very happy. They will certainly be hoping he can come back and quickly reach the same level he was at before the break. After all, Morelos ended 2021 with some exceptional form, even claiming the Premiership’s player of the month for December.

During that period, he scored four goals in his past five games, helping new manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst win each and every one of those matches.
