West Ham United have been enjoying a remarkable season under David Moyes, battling it out with the big guys for Champions League qualification. With that in mind, January transfer dealings could be a deciding factor in their push.

They have been rumoured to be in the market for a new forward, with Czech international Adam Hlozek being touted to be on the radar of David Moyes.

With only Michail Antonio on their books as a recognised striker, it could be argued that another arrival in that department could be the difference between securing European football for next season and missing out.

Their interest was put to noted insider ExWHUemployee on The West Ham Way via Patreon, who offered the following on their reported pursuit of the striker, claiming: “I have been asked why we haven’t moved for Sparta Prague forward Adam Hlozek; whilst I don’t know for certain the thinking behind it, I believe a deal is there to be had for the player but at this point, we haven’t decided to do that.”

TIF Thoughts on West Ham United’s apparent interest in Adam Hlozek…

For just 19 years of age, he is very experienced. He has 12 senior caps for the Czech Republic already, managing to bag his first international goal in October.

He’s also featured 27 times for Sparta Prague this campaign in all competitions, scoring six and setting up 12 for his teammates.

A staple of FIFA Ultimate Team in 2012, which Nigerian striker had a disastrous spell at the Hammers?

He has played a mixture of games as a striker and some slightly deeper. That highlights his versatility and also his capability to provide as well as score. This could be a very good signing given he is still so young and would be joining compatriots Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal and Alex Kral at the Hammers, so you’d imagine he could settle relatively quickly.
