West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has revealed the club are looking at Fabio Carvalho for a possible move in the summer.

With the winter transfer market now open, most fans want to know who is likely to join their club in the coming weeks. However, the powers that be at West Ham seem to already be making plans for next season.

Indeed, when speaking on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex stated that the Hammers are looking at Carvalho, who currently plays for Fulham in the Championship.

He explained that a move in the summer is more likely as the attacker will be out of contract by then if he doesn’t sign a new deal – though he did say there is a chance the club could ‘move early’ for him.

Ex said: “We’re looking at Championship players as well. Carvalho at Fulham, he is someone we like. He’s out of contract in the summer.”

“A move for him might be on the cards in the summer, he’s not a priority position. We could move early for him, but he is someone we like.”

TIF Thoughts on Fabio Carvalho and West Ham…

Despite only being just 19 years of age, it’s easy to see why Carvalho’s talent has a Premier League club keeping tabs on him.

He started this season in blistering form, scoring three goals and claiming one assist in his first five Championship appearances before injuries halted his momentum.

Since then, he’s gone on to score twice more, helping his side climb to the top of the league table as they aim to make a return to England’s top flight.

With his contract set to expire in the summer, you can see why West Ham would love to sign him on a free. Still, if they want to guarantee that they get their man, the Hammers may have to make a move this winter.
