Journalist Dean Jones has been speaking on The Done Deal Show about how Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is open to leaving the Premier League.

Alli has experienced a testing time of late at Spurs, having started just 15 league games since the start of last season, which he can hardly argue about, given he’s contributed just one goal and one assist in that period of time.

Will Spurs make the top four?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Last January, whilst he was not being played very often by Jose Mourinho, Alli was being linked with a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain to play under former boss Mauricio Pochettino, however, that move didn’t happen.

Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Spurs are working hard to sell the midfielder.

Jones has revealed that Alli is certainly open to moving away from England, saying:

“He’s definitely got his eyes open to the prospect of moving abroad; I think, to be honest, it’d probably be good for him to get away from England for the second half of the season, and refocus and take on board a different way of living, a different way of coaching, have to prove himself in a different league and start from scratch, basically.”

TIF Thoughts on Dele Alli’s Spurs future…

After bursting on the scene when he first arrived at Tottenham, managing to score 37 goals and register 26 assists across his first three seasons in the league, he has shown there is clearly a huge amount of talent, and he perhaps just requires a manager who can get it out of him.

Alli is now into his seventh season in the Premier League and may well have just become too comfortable in his way of living and into a set routine that needs to be kicked out of him for the midfielder to rediscover his best form and attempt to get back into Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of this year’s World Cup.
