A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their anger with a fresh transfer claim to emerge amid the January window.

According to The Telegraph, the funds available for Antonio Conte at Spurs this month are limited, and the club may be forced to resort to loan moves and players who are near the end of their contracts.

This claim has emerged with the north London club reportedly looking to secure the services of the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger, Adama Traore.

Despite reports suggesting the Wolves ace could be purchased for as little as £20m this month, it’s understood the Lilywhites are hoping to convince the Old Gold of an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy.

And with Spurs almost two weeks into the January window without seeing any new faces arrive at Hotspur Way, these fans vented their frustrations with Matt Law’s claim on the club’s apparent lack of transfer funds.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Absolute disgrace same old excuses”

“Conte will be walking fellas”
“We’re a joke of a club. Happy with finishing sixth (if we’re lucky) and going absolutely nowhere. Lack of ambition, not lack of funds”
“Pain”
@SpursOfficial disgraceful. #LevyOut #ENICOut #ToDareIsTooDear”
“conte can just walk, the club deserve it.”

To add to the frustration of the fans, Antonio Conte has been hit by a number of injury issues this month, with Eric Dier, Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn ruled out of action.

And in their recent games against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final, the gulf in class between the two sides was evident to see – yet it seems there will not be the funds made available for Conte to try and close that gap.
