Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been drawn to Twitter as Son Heung-min was announced as one of the nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month award.
The Spurs forward last won the award in October 2020, but has been nominated once again following an impressive December for the Lilywhites under Antonio Conte.
Have you been impressed by Son this season?
Yes
No
Son played an integral part in Tottenham’s successes last month, with four goals and one assist as Conte’s men remained unbeaten in the league.
However, the South Korean was unable to find his shooting boots on Wednesday night against Chelsea, where the 29-year-old was taken off after 79 minutes with Spurs trailing by two goals – and it seems fans weren’t totally sure he would be deserving of such an accolade.
What did these Spurs fans have to say?
“How? I love Son but he has been consistently shocking for the entire month”
Tottenham’s number seven has been able to provide 11 goal contributions in the league this season, and five of those came in the month of December.
However, it seems these supporters feel that despite his contributions in front of goal, the South Korean has remained relatively quiet on the back of their midweek defeat against the Blues.
