Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to the latest comments to emerge from Harry Kane following their defeat on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup.

The England captain played the entirety of the game on Wednesday night, but was unable to provide Spurs with a goal as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea.

Do you want Spurs to sell Kane?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And following the game, the 28-year-old tweeted the following: “Paid the price for a poor first half. But the tie isn’t over yet. Great noise from the away end.”

Kane was only able to provide one shot on the Chelsea goal throughout the 90 minutes of action, with the striker unable to continue his recent form in the Premier League.

Chelsea will take a healthy advantage into the return leg in north London next week, and it seems these fans feel the damage has already been done as they swamped Kane’s tweet.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Leave my club please”

“How show up in a big game lol”
“Try turning up mate”
“Wanna start stepping up in the big games mate?”
“Omds an actual Harry Kane tweet about a bad preformance and not a pr tweet”
“Who are you trying to kid!! It’s over.”
“That was embarrassing from everyone tonight. Where was the fight? We know the squad isn’t good enough but we need to see some guts. Medals need to be fought for. Not gift wrapped by sheikhs and oligarchs.”

Kane has seen an improvement to his form in the Premier League since Antonio Conte’s arrival, however, having netted 23 times last season, it has certainly been an underwhelming season so far for the 28-year-old.

After a summer of serious transfer speculation, it seems these fans are far from impressed by the striker’s performances for the north London club so far this season and particularly in their defeat against the Blues.

These comments are totally ridiculous, It’s not Harry Kane’s fault, why take it out on him, Conte knew at half time we were playing the wrong formation and he took off Doherty who brings absolutely nothing to any game he plays and brought on another central midfielder in Ndombele and we were a different team second half. Although we looked a much better team second half our whole team didn’t show much, just look at the movement and speed of the Chelsea players compared to ours, Chelsea are a different class, I hate to say it but it’s true. That only comes back to recruitment, Chelsea buy a better quality of player, Levy doesn’t like spending the money on that quality, that’s why we never win anything, we need a lot of luck to pick up a trophy with the squad we have. If you all want to blame someone, blame Levy. Let’s see how much Conte is backed and what level of player Levy signs him, this month and in the summer. ENIC, Levy and Lewis OUT!! 20 years of doing it their way doesn’t work, and what is the point in bringing in one of the best managers in the world if Levy isn’t prepared to back him totally?
