A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are furious on Twitter with this Dilan Markanday transfer update.

Markanday has only been handed 15 minutes of first-team football this season under both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte, which may be why the attacker is set for a permanent move away to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.

Will Spurs regret selling Markanday?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Markanday, despite his lack of minutes in the senior side, clearly has potential having scored 12 times and registered five assists in the Premier League 2 division this season for Spurs, and at 20 years old, people can’t begrudge him for going in search of regular first-team football.

A lot of Spurs fans are fuming on Twitter with this Markanday transfer claim.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Letting go of another young talent who deserves his chance, this club never learns from their past mistakes!”

@B_Haynes10

“i hate this club”

@cufcsam

As if Levy hasn’t ruined the club enough already! Had high hopes for this lad now it’s a case of what could’ve been. Good luck for the future Dil he’s gonna smash it!”

@tottenham_mail

Wow spectacularly bad bit of business from the club. Obviously not learning lessons from Maduke and Edwards”

@AOS_84

“What an absolute joke!”

@jamleeroberts

“I am fully prepared for future heartache. This is unbelievable news.”

@zoe_rino

“This is worse than not buying anyone this month.”

@sabsharpe

“Madness it has come to this. He may want first team football but the fact we haven’t been giving him any is ridiculous, he’s a talent. We’re neither a club who gives chances to our youth nor a club who has such great players that there’s no pathway. It’s broken. We’re broken.”

@TimboBagginses

“Lol Classic Levy”

@ThisGuyIsaac_

It’s pretty clear to see that these Spurs fans are very angry that one of their brightest young stars is set for the exit door after not being handed a chance to even prove himself in the Premier League.
