However, things could be about to look up for Spurs, with their first foray into the January transfer market appearing a little closer than before.
Will Spurs sign anyone this January?
Journalist Gianluigi Longari has claimed that Spurs were lining up a potential offer for RB Salzburg youngster Benjamin Sesko. He did state, however, they were not the only club to have made an enquiry about the 18-year-old striker.
What the Spurs fans said…
“Unreal on Football Manager, I say get him in.”
“Can’t go too far wrong with Salzburg, they are an actual talent mine.”
“Would be a great signing.”
“He’s the next potential Haaland.”
Obviously, the deal still appears to be well off, with no official offers on the table as things stand. However, it is a promising sign that Spurs are thought to be going for a talented youngster tipped for greatness.
Despite only being 18, he featured in all but one of Salzburg’s group games in the Champions League, helping them qualify from an open group, having to compete with the likes of Sevilla, French champions Lille and Wolfsburg. The game he missed was only down to injury, too.
So his experience perhaps belies his tender years, which may make it unsurprising that these Spurs fans are so excited to be linked with a potential swoop.
