A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans were very happy on Twitter to see Giovani Lo Celso linked with a move away.

Lo Celso was signed by Jose Mourinho for relatively big money back in 2020 from Real Betis for £28 million, but the midfielder has failed to impress and prove that was money well spent, having returned just one goal and three assists in the league.

Has Lo Celso flopped at Spurs?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The 25-year old has started just one game under Antonio Conte this season, so it may not come as a surprise that reports in Spain claim that the midfielder is now available for transfer this month.

A lot of Spurs fans are happy on Twitter to see that Lo Celso could be leaving.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Worst South American we’ve signed pound for pound. Overtaken Sanchez.”

@RSpurs1980

“Poor signing, probably our 2nd worst signing behind Tanguy. Can’t deliver a ball into the box. Looks all at sea trying to control a ball. Dare I say it, but I’d rather have Winks than him. Sell as quickly as possible & he can sell his shares in BUPA before he goes.”

“SUIIIIII”

@SonsofConte

“Best news so far this month”

@abbashamdani

“Make my year pls”

@_PaulMangan

I’m on my knees… Please get this clown out of our club”

Lo Celso has spent a large part of the current season on the sidelines, whether that be down to injuries or problems while away on international duty, so it could be time for him to move back to Spain and rediscover the form that made Spurs buy him. With Atletico Madrid reportedly interested in the midfielder, perhaps his time in the Premier League is coming towards its end.
