A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming on Twitter following Fabrizio Romano’s latest transfer claim.

Bryan Gil was one of five first teams signings made by Tottenham Hotspur over the summer when Nuno Espirito Santo was the helm but under two managers this campaign the Spaniard has failed to impose himself on the first team with zero league starts.

Has Gil flopped at Spurs?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Down to this severe lack of game time, Romano has now claimed that clubs are looking to sign the winger on loan until the end of the season, although no decision by Spurs has yet been decided as to whether or not he can leave this month.

A lot of Spurs fans are annoyed on Twitter that Gil could be leaving, all while they have not brought in a single-player this month.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Probably drag out Adama talks long enough and do absolutely nothing. Beginning to sound like last transfer window. Replace Levy now!”

@PC67650755

“Loads of people saying it’s a good thing, we have a light enough squad as it is”

@freundattack

“What’s the logic in sending him back to Spain he’s proven he can do it in Spain bc there is no physicality there he’s struggling in the prem because he’s too scared send him to like a Burnley or something to toughen him up”

@Louiie_THFC

“Patrici first window has been woeful…”

@TimmyRyan3

“Why would we do this? Couple of injuries and with this squad the hopes for top 4 will be out of the door”

@track_spurs

“No point in this loan . . . He knows La Liga. He needs a loan in the Premier League.”

@JohnHall1985

It’s quite clear that Gil needs time spent away on loan because he’s simply not getting enough minutes under Conte and considering he was not a signing the Italian made himself, Gil could well find his future lies away from north London.

However, these Spurs fans clearly don’t want him to leave, at least until a replacement is brought in.
