The news was confirmed by the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust who also voiced their frustrations at the actions of the club who already charge fans with one of the most expensive season tickets in the league.

With the update coming just a matter of days after Tottenham’s 3-0 aggregate defeat to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, these fans did not hold back in voicing their anger.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“They’re actually just laughing at us”

“Another sly disgraceful decision from the club. Although I’m assuming this money will go into buying new players”

“Shameful. Go and support your local non league club”
“Absolutely sickening. The club executives have no shame whatsoever.”
“There he is! The Levy way”
“Daniel levy everyone”

Spurs fans were due to make the journey to N17 on Sunday, however, their north London derby clash against Arsenal was postponed following the Gunners’ request to the Premier League.

And with the club yet to open their chequebook in the January transfer window, it seems these fans have been left disgusted by the club’s method to increase their matchday revenue.
