Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on some of the comments made by Antonio Conte following their defeat on Wednesday night, as he provided an update ahead of the club’s clash with Arsenal.

The Lilywhites played out an underwhelming Carabao Cup semi-final, which saw Conte’s side crash out as 3-0 losers on aggregate.

Can you see Conte walking away from Spurs?

And Spurs now find themselves just a matter of days away from the north London derby in N17, in which the Italian manager has expressed his concerns over the club’s current injury issues.

“When we lose one, two, three players in the starting eleven, we are a bit in trouble. I don’t know if we are able to recover players for Arsenal,” said the Italian.

Cristian Romero, Son Heung-min, Eric Dier and Steven Bergwijn were all unavailable for the cup clash on Wednesday night, and it seems he is not confident they will be able to return on Sunday.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“I’m literally begging for Eric Dier to return at the very least”

“Basically means Yo levy and paratici i need help”
“He’s lost hope”
“Announce loss….”
“Conte looks more stressed than ever.”
“he’ll walk by the end of the season”
“Sunday is going to be a bad day”

It is of little surprise Conte’s comments received such a response given Tottenham’s reliance on Son’s influence so far under the Italian boss, with the South Korean racking up seven goal involvements in his last six league games (via Transfermarkt).

And in the absence of Dier recently, the north London side have been unable to keep a clean sheet in any of the three cup games they have played.
