A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have swarmed to Twitter to vent their frustrations with the latest injury news to emerge regarding Son Heung-min.

The Lilywhites suffered a painful defeat on Wednesday night in the first-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final and it seems the South Korean left the pitch in pain.

Antonio Conte has confirmed to the media the 29-year-old winger will not train with the squad for two weeks having sustained a muscle strain during the defeat to Chelsea.

And Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold believes there is a feeling among people at the club his injury could be even worse than Conte has admitted with a potential five weeks out of action hinted at.

Son lasted 79 minutes of the game at Stamford Bridge in what was a fairly tame showing for the South Korean’s standards, but fans flock to Twitter to share their anger in light of the update.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“I want to cry.”

“We’re finished”
“I would imagine a realistic time is 5-6 weeks. Awful news for us in a critical period.”
I’m so sad about this man. I was so looking forward to the Arsenal game”
“That’s it we’re done for”
“January is going to suck”

Son has played a big role in Tottenham’s recent success under Conte in recent weeks with eight goal involvements under the Italian which has earned him a nomination for the league’s Player of the Month award.

And with two games against Chelsea, a north London derby and a trip to Leicester City coming up in the coming weeks, it is no surprise these fans are furious to lose their top scorer in the league through injury.
