Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the FIVE YouTube channel about what he expects to happen with Dele Alli’s future at Tottenham Hotspur this month.

All signs seem to point towards Dele Alli leaving Spurs this season, with the Daily Mail claiming that the midfielder has options from several Premier League clubs, so a lot of teams are seemingly not put off by his disastrous goalscoring form since the beginning of last season.

Will Alli leave in January?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The midfielder has seen his form fall off a cliff, with just one goal in the league since the beginning of last season, but if a team can get him firing like he was under Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, then it could be huge news not only for that club, but also for Gareth Southgate ahead of this year’s World Cup.

Romano has revealed he fully expects Alli to leave this month when speaking on FIVE.

He said: “My expectation is for him to leave Tottenham in the final days of the window. I’m told that a few days ago, Tottenham were looking for a swap deal for Dele Alli, but nothing was possible to be done in the last few days.”

TIF Thoughts on Dele Alli leaving Spurs…

Alli clearly has no future at Tottenham Hotspur, and that’s not just because of the arrival of Antonio Conte, as he was rarely featuring under either of the two previous managers in Nuno Espirito Santo or Jose Mourinho.

If a Premier League club can strike a deal for the midfielder until the end of the season, assess how he has done and see if his talent can be unlocked, then it may work for everyone involved as Spurs would get him off their wage bill and Alli can potentially rediscover his best form.
