A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans were delighted on Twitter following Fabrizio Romano’s latest Adama Traore transfer claim.

In what appears to be one of the longest transfer sagas of the window, there could potentially be an endgame in sight, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Traore now wishes to play under Antonio Conte because of the Italian’s big emphasis on wing-backs.

Will Spurs make the top four?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

With Traore now seemingly eager on the move, he could begin to push Wolves for them to sanction a transfer – something they didn’t do over the summer when the Midlands side rejected a bid from Tottenham, who were then managed by former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

A lot of Spurs fans on Twitter were in love with Romano’s latest Traore claim.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“SUIII GET THIS BABY OILED BEAST IN A SPURS SHIRT”

@SonsofConte

“He wants to play the right wing back role? Omd get him in nowwww”

@thfcalfonzile

“GET IT DONE”

@ArbergCoys

“make it happen fabio”

@alpoaospurs

“We are massive”

@joethfc_

“League ain’t ready”

It will be quite a damning move from Spurs and Conte to bring in Traore to play as a wing-back considering they have Emerson Royal, who was only signed over the summer for £22.5 million.

However, the Brazilian is clearly not up to the standards required by Conte, especially when it comes to attacking – with the defender having attempted 44 crosses from open play, but only finding a teammate with seven of them (FBRef).

Meanwhile, Traore has completed the same amount but from fewer attempts (27), showing he’s a lot more accurate.
