Lots of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on a fresh claim to emerge about a potential winter break for Eddie Howe’s squad.
According to Craig Hope, the Magpies are set to jet off to Saudi Arabia for a winter training camp after their game against Leeds United on 22nd January.
Have you been impressed by the new owners?
Yes
No
This will be the first time the squad has visited the Middle East country since being taken over by the PIF consortium last year, however, it is not yet known whether they will meet the country’s leader, Mohammed bin Salman.
Following their away trip to Elland Road, the Magpies will not play again in the Premier League until 8th February with a clash against Everton at St. James’ Park.
What did these Newcastle fans have to say?
“Good news for sponsors hopefully.”
The takeover on Tyneside was met by a lot of controversy from clubs across the Premier League, with reports even suggesting certain clubs would avoid dealing with Newcastle going forward in the transfer window.
And it seems these fans are expecting that the club’s trip to Saudi Arabia will continue to stir the pot among supporters of other Premier League clubs due to the frustrations surrounding the new owners on Tyneside.
