A large number of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to share their excitement at the latest Jesse Lingard development to emerge.
There are now just a matter of days remaining in the January window and it has been claimed the Toon are growing more confident in their pursuit of the 29-year-old midfielder.

According to reports from reliable Italian Sky Sport journalist Rudy Galetti, the Magpies have sent their representatives to meet with the Manchester United ace to discuss a possible deal, and a medical in Saudi Arabia is expected soon.
Lingard has reportedly received interest from other Premier League clubs amid his contract situation, however, it seems like the Toon could be edging closer to sealing a short-term loan deal.

During this short break from Premier League action, the Toon have jetted off for a warm-weather training camp in Saudi Arabia and Lingard has taken to the neighbouring United Arab Emirates.
Despite playing just 88 minutes of Premier League football this season, the 29-year-old has been able to find the back of the net on two occasions – including a goal against the Toon (via Transfermarkt).
And with the Toon still deep in the relegation battle despite their recent win, it seems these fans feel Lingard could provide them with the creative spark needed to keep their top-flight status.
