Newcastle United fans could finally be set to acquire a central defender after it was third time lucky with Brighton, agreeing a fee for Dan Burn after two rejected bids. Keith Downie of Sky Sports reported the news.
Downie went on to claim that the defender was travelling to Tyneside to have his medical ahead of the £13m move.

It’s clear to see that the Toon Army are glad to finally see a centre back set to sign on the dotted line for the club after a frustrating window to date.
A step down from the original targets, with Diego Carlos being one of the main men Eddie Howe wanted through the door. Burn is yet to register an honour in his career, in contrast, Diego Carlos has Champions League experience.
Although not the number one target, finally strengthening a position they clearly felt they needed will be an added boost to the Magpies.
