A large number of Leeds United fans have flocked to Twitter to voice their delight at the latest injury update emerging ahead of their Premier League clash on the weekend.

According to Daily Mirror journalist David Anderson, Marcelo Bielsa is expected to have both Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo return from injury and be available for selection.

The Whites make their second trip to the London Stadium in the space of a week having tasted defeat at the weekend in the FA Cup against West Ham United.

Neither of the Leeds forwards were available for the FA Cup clash on the weekend with Sam Greenwood leading the line, however, on the back of this update, fans took to Twitter to share their optimism.

What did these Leeds fans have to say?

“big if true”

“This is fantastic if true”
“Hope this is true”
“Huge if true”
“Best news all year”
“Bamford hat trick incoming”

Bamford’s season has been interrupted massively by injuries, with the England striker having made just six appearances in the Premier League this season due to the two separate injury issues (via Transfermarkt).

Goals have also been a bit of an issue for Leeds this season with just 21 in the league this season, with a heavy reliance on Raphinha. But with the latest injury boost, it seems there is a new lease of optimism among these fans as they look to pull clear of the drop.
