There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of the Brazilian winger, with reports over the Christmas period linking him to Bayern Munich.

However, on Wednesday morning, The Athletic correspondent claimed that the Whites are growing ‘increasingly confident’ of tying the 24-year-old down to a new deal, as he shared a report on his performance against West Ham United last weekend.

It is no surprise these fans are delighted to hear Raphinha may be edging closer to extending his stay in West Yorkshire after the impressive season he has had so far in the Premier League.

However, with just over two years now remaining on his current deal, it could also be seen as a potential method from the Whites to make sure they do not lose Raphinha in the summer for a cut price.
