A large number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest injury news emerging ahead of their Premier League clash at the weekend.

Speaking to BBC Sport Leeds, left-back Junior Firpo has confirmed he is fit to play this weekend as they return to east London to play West Ham United for the second time in as many weeks.

The defender had suffered from a concussion in their previous outing against the Hammers in the FA Cup last weekend, which saw him withdrawn after 69 minutes after a collision with his own goalkeeper.

However, it seems the 25-year-old has provided the Leeds faithful with a positive update going into the game on Sunday after a season of injury issues hindering their side, with the Brazilian declaring himself fit ahead of the clash.

What did these Leeds fans have to say?

“That’s brilliant news!! Hope the Bamford rumour is true too and I will be a lot more confident going into Sundays game now”

“Whilst I absolutely want Firpo available, I hope concussion protocol has been fully followed and it isnt been rushed. Player safety has to be priority”
“He’s slowly getting up to speed with Bielsa ball, need a big performance from him on Sunday. Starting to like what I see though in fairness.”
“Great news, let’s show what we are all about on Sunday”
“Whoop”
“Buzzin, cancel all transfer negotiations”

Firpo has played a big role in Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season having joined in the summer, with 13 appearances in the Premier League under his belt.

And having impressed earlier in the month with his display in the win over Burnley, it seems these fans are delighted to see the former Barcelona ace fit for selection ahead of Sunday.
