Image for Leeds United: Fans react to image of Michail Antonio foul on Stuart Dallas

Plenty of Leeds United fans have been left rather unhappy after seeing an image of West Ham star Michail Antonio fouling Stuart Dallas.

In the West Yorkshire outfit’s most recent outing, they managed to take all three points in a win away at West Ham United. Indeed, thanks to a hat-trick from Jack Harrison, Marcelo Bielsa’s men claimed a 3-2 win in a fine Premier League display.

As the scoreline suggests, the game was pretty close as both teams fought for the points. Now, an image has been shared online which shows just how intense the battle was, with Antonio pictured with both hands wrapped around Dallas’ neck.

The picture was circulated on Twitter by Leeds United Live and it drew an angered response from a number of the club’s fans.

Here’s what these Leeds fans said…

“Unbelievable! Been thinking for a while now he’s a dirty player!”
“Wow! Dallas, made of tough stuff. Shows how much we were frustrating West Ham.”

“Dirty playing…because their LOSING.”

“Mike Dean sees nothing wrong with a bit of strangulation on the pitch, do this on the high street you would be locked up…”
“Attempted murder.”
“I think they got a free-kick for this… Mike Dean quality.”
It’s clear to see just how annoyed these fans were left by the challenge. In the end, though, it didn’t matter as Leeds managed to get across the line and come away with an impressive victory.

That result now means Bielsa and co have claimed 22 points from their first 20 games of the season – a tally that sees them 15th in the league and a good nine points above the relegation zone.

It might have been painful, but that win was probably worth the suffering.
