Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments from Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath over the future of Rodrigo.

In an article for the newspaper, a number of reporters from the outlet looked ahead to the January transfer window, noting what each club need to bring in and who they need to move on.

McGrath was tasked with covering Marcelo Bielsa’s side and was discussing who the club should be looking to sell when he noting: “Marcelo Bielsa needs all the fit players he can get and has used youngsters to fill the bench. The likes of Rodrigo Moreno or Mateusz Klich have not been regular starters but it could be argued they are needed for depth.”

The comments were picked up by MOTLeedsNews and then relayed to fans by the Leeds Insider Facebook page for them to react to, where it was the mention of Rodrigo that seemed to spark a lot of the debate, as many fans thought that he should go, with many feeling he hasn’t been up to scratch since he arrived:

The Spaniard has had something of a mixed time when it comes to his time at Elland Road, scoring nine goals and grabbing two assists, but when you put that up against the fact he arrived for a club-record fee of £26m, a record that still stands, then you can certainly understand why some fans might think the way they do about him.
