Leeds United fans have been reacting to claims surrounding a potential move for Ferran Jutglà in the January transfer window.

Recent reports in the Spanish media have claimed that Leeds United are interested in signing the 22-year-old forward.

He has primarily played for the Barcelona B team this season, but has also managed to make the break through to the senior side, bagging one goal in La Liga as well as the Copa del Rey.

Leeds are rather thin at the centre-forward position, with Patrick Bamford the only experienced senior option at present, it’s understandable why they might be looking to add some more pieces there, especially given his recent injury issues.

However, a more recent claim from Spanish journalist Claudio Mauri has appeared to rubbish the links to Jutgla, as he tweeted that no bid has been entertained by the La Liga giants.

These claims were picked up by MOTLeedsNews and then relayed onto the Leeds Insider Facebook page for fans to react to, where it generated some mixed responses, with some of them seeming angry that they would be spending their money on another youngster rather than someone more proven to help the first team:

Given how thin they are in that position, it’s not as if Leeds can afford to be too picky when it comes to players who might offer a chance to help out.
