A large number of Leeds United fans have been drawn to an update on Twitter from Phil Hay on the club’s pursuit of Brenden Aaronson.

According to the Leeds correspondent, the Whites have submitted an improved bid for the RB Salzburg midfielder, rising from around £15m to £20m.

Do you want Aaronson at Leeds?

No

No

Reports emerged earlier in the month suggesting Leeds had seen their initial bid rejected by the Austrian side, with representatives sent to Austria on behalf of the Whites.

The Austrian Bundesliga side are said to be against allowing Aaronson to depart this month, however, Hay’s latest claim clearly provided these fans with a lot of optimism.

What did these Leeds fans have to say?

“Cmon we need this”

“Let it happen”
“Got a good feeling about this one somehow”
“We’ll win the league if we sign him”
“GET IT DONE”
“GET IT DONE!!! VAMOS VICTOR”

The American midfielder could provide Leeds with a fresh lease of creativity in attack, with no player for the West Yorkshire side recording more than two assists this season.

And with Aaronson having already provided five assists for Salzburg, it seems these fans would be keen to see him arrive this month with Leeds in need of some firepower as a result of their injury issues.
