A large number of Leeds United fans have flocked to Twitter following the emergence of a recent claim regarding Ben Brereton Diaz and a potential January move.

The Championship striker has been linked with the Whites in recent weeks ahead of this month’s transfer window, however, a fresh report may have hit Marcelo Bielsa’s side with something to consider.

According to TEAMtalk, Blackburn Rovers are believed to estimate the Chilean striker in the region of £30m amid interest also from West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The claim emerging on the future of the 22-year-old saw Leeds fans flock to James Marshment’s tweet to share their concerns on the reported development.

What did these Leeds fans have to say?

“Looks a very decent player but 30 mill is ridiculous especially off the back of one good season, it’s not like he’s been doing it consistently for years .”

“£30m – no thanks”
“Madness for 6 decent months”
“Wouldn’t be paying anywhere near that for him yet £30m”
“What a ridiculous price”
“We won’t pay that so that’s us out”
“Once decent season in the championship – nah you’re alright”
“Hope we dont buy him for that price, Gelhardt will be a much better player”
“Let Brighton have him we will stick with joffy”

It is of little surprise the young striker is receiving reported interest after a sensational start to the 2021/22 campaign which has seen him find the back of the net 20 times in 25 league appearances.

However, despite his heroics in the Championship this season, it seems these Leeds fans feel £30m would be paying over the odds for a player who has not exactly shone in previous seasons (via Transfermarkt).
