Reliable journalist Alasdair Gold has been speaking on his latest YouTube video to discuss Everton’s January interest in Dele Alli.

Dele is believed to have been made available for an exit this month, with Goodison Park said to be a potential landing spot with just days remaining until the window shuts.

Would you like Dele at Everton this month?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The 25-year-old has struggled for consistent game time at Tottenham Hotspur in recent seasons and the arrival of Antonio Conte has not made much of a difference.

It has been widely reported that Newcastle United are another side showing an interest in bringing in Dele this month, however, Gold does not believe their interest is as strong as it has been reported.

Having already seen three new faces come through the doors at Goodison Park this month, Gold had the following to say on a possible switch for Dele to the Toffees:

“Everton – certainly, there’s an interest in him. Newcastle have been credited with an interest, but I was kind of hearing some bits and pieces today [Monday] that perhaps they’re not as sold on a move at the moment – but that may change, as they seem quite like they’re struggling to bring in players, so maybe he’s a player they turn to.

“I think the Everton interest seems to be a little bit more. I think Everton could be a good club for Dele to kind of rebuild and press restart on his career, almost.”

TIF Thoughts on Dele Alli to Everton…

It has now been a number of years since Dele was last able to hit his best form on a consistent basis having struggled under a number of different managers at Spurs.

With Everton still in search of their next manager, Duncan Ferguson is currently at the helm and we would be interested to see whether his style of management could get the best out of the 25-year-old.

Since being appointed, Ferguson has spoken of his aim to get the very best out of every player and for them to leave the pitch exhausted having given it their all.

And having played the majority of the campaign with three men behind the striker, Everton’s formation could suit the midfielder better than it currently does at Spurs, where Dele has playing a deeper role recently.
