Insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that Arsenal are ‘looking’ at talented Premier League striker Armando Broja.

As the Gunners push for the top four while striker and former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains out of the picture, it would make sense for Mikel Arteta to add a new forward to his frontline in January.

With that in mind, the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Alexander Isak have been linked with the club in a big way.

However, if the club want to make a move for a slightly lower-profile option, they could be tempted by the option of Chelsea striker Broja, who is currently on loan with Southampton.

While talking about West Ham United’s interest in Broja while on The West Ham Way podcast, Hammers insider Ex also mentioned that Arsenal have an interest in the player.

He said: “Other clubs are also interested in him.

“I’ve heard that Arsenal are looking [at Broja]. Arsenal have bought players from Chelsea before.

“Arsenal, you know, they’ve got Lacazette and Aubameyang – both of them are getting on, both of them have been out of favour at times.

“He’s someone that Arsenal have looked at too.”

TIF Thoughts on Armando Broja and Arsenal…

Since joining the Saints on loan from Chelsea at the start of the season, the 20-year-old has managed to score seven goals in all competitions for the south coast side.

Such form has apparently drawn interest from both West Ham and Arsenal. The Gunners could certainly use a new striker in the near future.

Beyond the aforementioned issue with Aubameyang, other first-team strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah were both looking likely to leave the club at the end of the season when their contracts run out.

In Broja, they have certainly identified an interesting option. Indeed, the striker is currently the youngest player to score as many as five goals in the Premier League this season – so perhaps he’ll be scoring for the Gunners soon enough.
