Many West Bromwich Albion fans have been left delighted after hearing that loanee Jordan Hugill will likely return to Norwich City in the January transfer market.

According to journalist Alan Nixon, the Canaries will soon have their striker back, while West Brom are now looking to find a replacement in the winter window.

Over the summer, the 29-year-old joined the Championship outfit for what was supposed to be a season-long loan deal. However, things clearly have not worked out with his departure now seemingly imminent.

The news was shared online by the Twitter page WBA Report and it doesn’t seem as if many of the club’s supporters will be sad to see Hugill go.

Here’s what these West Brom fans said

“Fantastic news.”
“Christmas come early.”
“SSSSIIIIUUUUUU.”
“Thank goodness for that!”
“Happy days!”
“Please be true!!”
Judging from the fact that these supporters genuinely seem glad to hear Hugill may be leaving their club, it’s probably safe to say his loan spell has not been a particularly good one.

Will you be sad if Jordan Hugill leaves West Brom?

Yes

No

No
Up to this point in his Baggies career, he has played in 17 league games but has only scored the one goal. On top of that, he has yet to claim an assist and hasn’t started a game since late October.
With January fast approaching, it’s hard to see his form changing dramatically – so a return to Norwich seems likely.
