A number of Celtic fans have slammed attacker Liel Abada for his display in the Scottish Premier League match against St. Mirren.

The Bhoys were looking to continue with their good momentum having just won the League Cup against Hibernian in their last game – thanks to two goals from Kyogo Furuhashi.

Abada started the final and, perhaps with that in mind, the 20-year-old was trusted again from the start by manager Ange Postecoglou – however, he struggled to show his best form.

As a result, a collection of club supporters were more than happy to make their feelings known on Twitter with plenty of criticism coming the way of Abada.

Here’s what these Celtic fans said

“Not a thing from Abada or Johnston. Far too wasteful.”
“Abada infuriates me man.”

“Johnston and Abada, 2 empty jerseys tonight.”

“Abada has been shocking tonight!”
As is clearly displayed by these many frustrated comments, Abada’s performance was not of particularly high quality. He even had a chance to get on the score sheet, but could not get on the end of Callum McGregor’s cross.
Despite his underwhelming display against St. Mirren, the youngster has had plenty of chances to impress in other outings. Indeed, he already has 30 appearances for the Bhoys this season in all competitions.
