A number of Celtic fans have flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts on Ange Postecoglou’s latest injury update.

On Friday, the Australian manager provided his pre-match press conference and revealed Cameron Carter-Vickers will be available for the weekend and Jota’s issue ‘didn’t feel too bad’.

However, the 56-year-old did confirm the greek striker, Giorgos Giakoumakis, will still be out of action for up to another three weeks.

Celtic fans flocked to the tweet to emerge ahead of their trip to Tannadice Park to face Dundee United on Sunday as they aim to carry on from where they left off against Hearts on Thursday.

What did these fans have to say?

“Great news about Giakoumakis still being out for a few weeks”

“Ralston the warrior we’re counting on you”
“Happy days”
“The Greek guy has been 2,3 weeks away for months now”
“Noticed Jota trying to stretch it off which made me think it was a bad cramp instead of a tear or a pull”
“Hoping for another trademark Ange injury lie”
“Hopefully jota just misses Sunday then we should play the 2nd string against betis most 1st choice players need a free week tae rest up”

Celtic have four points to make up to the league leaders but they also have their final Europa League game to consider on Thursday – albeit having already finished outside of the top two.

With Jota being such a big part of their season to date and Giakoumakis making next to no impact since arriving, it is no surprise these Bhoys feel the way they do about the injury update.
