A whole host of Sheffield Wednesday fans were annoyed on Twitter following Darren Moore’s latest interview.

Wednesday bowed out of the Papa John’s Trophy on Wednesday evening as they were well beaten 3-0 at home to League Two side Hartlepool, despite the Owls fielding a whole host of first-team players.

Will Sheffield Wednesday be promoted?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

There will be obvious frustration at losing to a side who are playing in a league below the Owls, however, before that defeat, they had lost just once in their previous 14 matches across all competitions and are in the hunt for a play-off spot, but this has not stopped some fans venting their frustrations at Moore.

Moore said in his post-match interview that ‘we took a step backwards tonight and we got what we deserved’. While that may be true, it will not have been encouraging for Owls fans having seen their side taking a step back in terms of performances.

A lot of Sheffield Wednesday fans are angry on Twitter with Moore’s latest comments.

What have these Owls fans been saying?

“Complete jibberish”

“Go get a mirror and look really hard… u picked them u guide them your their leader… 7 out of 11 u signed if they can’t do what u want them to do you are the problem”

@littledan48

“Darren you need to show more passion when you are on the side of the pitch – you look like you don’t care by standing there with your hands in your pockets”

@desertgold2

“Some shocking performances, worrying thing is that Moore signed most of them.”

@JonDavis1928

“Same old dribble”

@GaryAllsop4

“However can you call Him a manager he’s a joke”

@steve_doxey

There may well have been a lot of optimism heading into this season at Hillsborough given they managed to keep players such as Barry Bannan and Josh Windass, as well as bringing in nine new players in the summer, but they find themselves five points off the automatic promotion spots and out of both the FA Cup and Papa John’s Trophy.
