A large number of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their frustrations following their Europa League clash at Parkhead on Thursday night.

The Bhoys were already unable to progress from the group going into the game, however, this did not stop them from prevailing in an impressive 3-2 win over Real Betis.

Ange Postecoglou fielded a much-changed starting XI, but an early injury to Albian Ajeti saw the Australian bring on Kyogo Furuhashi as the Swiss winger’s replacement.

However, much to the dismay of these Celtic fans, the Japanese international pulled up with just under 20 minutes remaining of the game as Postecoglou shared his concern over the injury blow: “We’ll see. Yeah… it’s not good,” he said.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“Zero reason to risk him tonight…terrible mistake”

“We are in the mud”
“School boy stuff from Ange”
“Why risk it then, very silly to play him in a nothing game!.”
“Why! Talk about digging our own grave”
“Cheers Ange, ruined my bday”
“Ange knows he should never have brought on Kyogo. Totally needless. His mood was gone by the end.”

The injury blow comes as the countdown begins to their Premier Sports Cup final against Hibernian next week, putting Kyogo’s availability under question after he left the field holding the back of his thigh.

Given the Japanese forward has made such a bright start to life in Glasgow with 14 goals in his 24 appearances, it is no surprise these fans are so frustrated to potentially lose their main man for such a decisive game.
