A lot of Celtic fans vented their anger on Twitter at the performance of Liam Scales during their Scottish Premiership victory on Wednesday night.

Ange Postecoglou’s side were able to maintain their four-point deficit to their city rivals who top the table, and also sealed three points on Wednesday night.

Despite sealing the points, it seemed the Irishman did not impress all of the Hoops fans with his display at Victoria Park as he marked just his second league appearance of the campaign.

The 23-year-old’s only other league appearance this season came just the other week against Dundee United, and it seems these fans were not overly impressed by his latest showing.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“Scales all over the place there”

“Liam scales single handedly trying to ruin our season”
“Hungbo looking a right decent player making Scales look like a league of Ireland player.”
“Montgomery and Scales are nowhere near the level we need them to be at just now. Flung in at the deep end and they cany cope”
“Poor Liam Scales it was all his fault”
“Scales at fault for the goal.. useless.”

Scales’ night was capped off with an 87th-minute yellow card as the Bhoys chased a winning goal and he was almost left to rue his defensive error for the equalising goal as he lost his man when Jack Baldwin converted from a corner.

Postecoglou’s men were able to find a winner deep into injury time, however, it was apparent that Scales’ poor marking for County’s equaliser left these fans concerned about his spot in the starting XI.
