Celtic fans have been reacting to the performance of James Forrest during their game in the Scottish Premiership.
Ange Postecoglou’s men took on Hearts at Celtic Park with the two sides coming into the game 2nd and 3rd in the table respectively, with Celtic needing three points not only to keep up in the title race against their rivals in the other side of Glasgow, but also to push clear of the Edinburgh side in their fight for a Champions League space.
They won the game 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Kyogo Furuhashi however, it wasn’t all rosy for Celtic on the night, as according to the fans who were watching the game, not everyone was pulling their weight, with the 30-year-old midfielder coming in for some stick from the Celtic Park faithful on social media.
Fans seemed particularly unhappy with his lack of ability when it came to controlling the ball, with SofaScore backing up their claim noting that he lost possession more than a handful of times during the game as well as misplacing a couple of passes:
“James Forrest frustrates the life right out of me.”
Is James Forrest underrated?
Yes
No
Hopefully a performance like that doesn’t become a regular thing, otherwise Celtic’s efforts to try and rescue back the title from Rangers stand a decent chance of falling short of the mark.
