Celtic fans have flocked to reports that have emerged surrounding the future of players Vasilis Barkas, Albian Ajeti, Boli Bolingoli and Ismaila Soro ahead of the January transfer window.

With the January window around the corner, this will provide Ange Postecoglou and Celtic the chance to strengthen and provide something of a boost as they look to close the gap at the top of the table and regain the title.

But as well as incomings, it appears as though there might be some outgoings taking place as well.

This English Premier League winner almost moved to Celtic.

According to a report in The Scottish Daily Express, where a number of plans that the club had were outlined as it pertained to the January transfer window, Celtic will be ‘open to deals’ for Barkas, Bolingoli and Ajeti, while Soro ‘could also come into that equation’ having lost his place in the team.

The news was relayed to fans by @aboutceltic on social media, where there were plenty of interesting responses on show, although the general consensus seemed to be that they weren’t exactly annoyed at the prospect of losing any of the players in question:

“That’s crazy

“Need to keep Soro for depth surely? No issues with anyone else as they’re all rotten.”
“Lucky if we get 14 quid for the four of them”
“Sums up last season”
“Who scouted these players??? That should be the major question.”
“The joys of having a poor scouting team and an interfering CEO”

Celtic have since confirmed that the club are bringing in three players from Japan this window, so there was always likely going to have to be some casualties in order to make way, it just seems as if these guys are the unlucky ones.
