Celtic entertain Motherwell this afternoon, and with Ange Postecoglou’s team having just been announced, many fans have been delivering their verdict on social media.

It could be a huge day in the title race after their Glasgow rivals were 2-0 winners over Hearts earlier on. That means if the Hoops are to win the league, anything other than a win today will not be good enough.

Before a ball was kicked today, Celtic were already four points adrift of their fierce rivals at the top of the league, so Postecoglou’s side cannot afford to let that gap grow any larger.

How these Celtic fans reacted

“4 midfielders?” @matthewd67

“Just glad Johnstone isn’t up front.” @PatrickMurphy89

“Tbf dropping Scales completely from the squad after two good performances makes sense.” @SR197316

“Great way to reward the team from Thursday is to play almost none of them, yeah?” @Nathan_7

“What is this formation lol?” @CiaranHamilton0

“Always worries me when there’s no strikers!” @Claire1888CFC

With Celtic having impressed in their 3-2 win over Real Betis on Thursday night, some supporters were understandably displeased that Postecoglou made a raft of changes for today’s fixture. Some also voiced concerns over the absence of a natural centre-forward from the starting XI.

Starting with an easy one - which club was McGregor loaned out to in the 2013-14 season?

You’d think that Celtic would have enough to get the victory today, with attentions possibly already turning to next week as Postecoglou gets set to take charge of his first domestic final with the club as he leads his side out at Hampden Park in the League Cup showpiece against Hibernian.

Before thoughts can turn to that clash, however, the Hoops needs to take care of business today.
