A lot of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the latest claim to emerge ahead of their Scottish Premiership clash on Wednesday.

The Bhoys are looking to pick up from where they left off from the weekend’s League Cup triumph as they are set to travel to St. Mirren in the league.

Should this game be going ahead?

No

However, a recent increase in virus cases in the home camp has put the game at St. Mirren Park under scrutiny, though reports suggest the game is set to go ahead.

With the fixtures coming thick and fast over the festive period, it is apparent these fans were not entirely pleased by the update with many sharing their sympathy towards St. Mirren.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“None of Celtics game where postponed when we had 13 or so players out so why should any games this season be postponed”

“10 goals from Kyogo incoming…”
“Ridiculous, if it’s this rife no doubt they can pass it to our team. Postpone the game’
“I’m a bhoy through & through, but this is poor stuff.”
“An awful decision.”
“Surprised it’s not off and there Boxing Day game put on.”

With rivals Rangers leading the race for the title, Ange Potecoglou’s side can not exactly afford any slip-ups as they trail by seven points – albeit with a game in hand.

Celtic’s league form should give them confidence going into the game, however, it seems a lot of these fans are less concerned about the points and more so the safety of both sets of players amid the outbreak.
