A large number of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on a transfer claim to emerge regarding Paddy McNair ahead of the January window.
Teesside Live claims that the Bhoys are reportedly interested in the possibility of bringing the 26-year-old to Parkhead as the interest in the centre-back grows.

No
However, the report also states despite the interest from Celtic and West Ham United, Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder is hopeful of keeping hold of McNair in January.
The Northern Irishman has played in both defence and midfield for Boro this season as he’s already racked up 19 league appearances, but it seems the rumour did not go down kindly with these Celtic fans.
What did these Celtic fans have to say?
“We shouldn’t be signing players that support rangers, only sign players who grew up celtic fans, players like Kenny Dalglish and Callum McGregor”
McNair impressed for Boro last season as he was rewarded with the club’s Player of the Year award, while there are over two years left on his current deal with the Teesside club.
However, despite the recognition he has received at Boro, it seems the player’s apparent connection with Celtic’s bitter rivals is too much for some of these fans to accept.
