A large number of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their delight at an injury claim to emerge on the fitness of Karamoko Dembele.

According to FootballScotland, the 18-year-old is set to make his return from injury next week as he is expected to join his teammates in training at Lennoxtown.

Would you start Dembele when he's back?

Dembele has been out of action for all of the 2021/22 season so far having sustained a fractured ankle in a pre-season game against Bristol City.

However, with the youngster expected to return two weeks ahead of the original schedule, these fans shared their delight at the news coming out of Parkhead.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“Would of rather have him playing than Mickey Johnstone”

“Hopefully ange gives him a chance.”
“Finally some news. The tackle that put him out in pre-season was a disgrace.”
“That’s great news, he’ll be great impact sub for Ange. Would be great to see him get a new contract.”
“Exciting. Ange’s system would be very good for him”
“Can’t help but think that he’ll be absolutely immense in this system.”

The news comes amid Celtic’s other injury woes, with David Turnbull and Jota both sidelined in recent weeks due to their own respective issues which have both Parkhead stars sidelined.

Despite having only made a handful of appearances for the senior side, it is apparent the high praise Dembele has already received is what has these fans excited to see what the 18-year-old could produce under Ange Postecoglou.
