When you’re not sure about a player and their availability through injury, the one thing you do as a fan is frantically look at the training content released by the club to see if you can see the player in question.
This is what the Celtic supporters have been doing prior to their clash with Motherwell at Celtic Park. Ange Postecoglou is already without Jota, but now it looks likely Kyogo Furuhashi joins the list.
While scouring the training pictures, there was no sign of the Japan international who was forced off on Thursday, striking fear into the Celtic supporters who are looking increasingly thin up top.

Furuhashi has taken to Scottish football like he’s always been here. This season he has managed 14 goals and five assists in his 24 outings for Postecoglou in all competitions. That type of threat and outlet would be a big miss for any side, so the fear is understandable.

Even more so when you consider Jota is out too who has eight goals and six assists in his 18 games. That’s 22 goals and 11 assists that the manager has to find from somewhere. The players he selects to replace the duo have huge boots to fill!
